Wharf Repairs

Australia’s vast coastline is one of the elements that makes this country so special. With over 25,000 kilometres of beautiful marine environment, there is certainly plenty of scope for civil engineering projects.

However, as infrastructure continues to interact with the marine environment, businesses, local councils and governments will run into numerous problems. Whether this is in relation to salt water, tidal zones or extreme weather, any infrastructure repairs must be applied in the correct manner.

This is where Bluey Technologies can be of assistance. As a well-respected and knowledgeable part of the civil engineering industry, we have faced all wharf repair situations – developing and implementing smart solutions to ensure the structural integrity of the nation’s infrastructure.

What wharf repair works does Bluey specialise in?

Wharf repairs are a core part of our services, and we therefore strive to develop quality products to support various applications. Whether your business is looking to simply repair an old wharf, strengthen an existing implementation, repair a damaged wharf or build an entirely new structure, we can support your operations.

At the beginning of any project, our team of civil engineers will inspect the task and ensure the correct product is used. In regards to wharf repairs, there are three products that may apply. This includes BluCem HB50, BluCem HB55 and BluCem HB60.

Why BluCem?

Our BluCem range is one of our most successful product ranges, featuring leading-edge technology in cements, grouts and mortars. Especially designed for both old and new structures, the BluCem HB range, in particular, is perfect for tough environments where either marine factors, tidal zones or chemicals will impact the infrastructure.

Of course, in a wharf project, the application of concrete, grout or mortar can be difficult. So product durability, wastage and technique are all important factors that we at Bluey Technologies take very seriously. Due to the fact that every project is different, it is vital that a qualified civil engineer watches over the application of any product.

BluCem HB range – the key details

As a result of our successful history in wharf repairs, our BluCem HB products contain key features which make it stand out. This includes:

  • Silica fume, a pozzolan enhancing cohesion, resistance to bleed and aids overhead spraying.
  • Carefully graded aggregates enhance abrasion resistance and reduce rebound.
  • Advanced cement systems which are resistant in marine environments

BluCem HB50 – 5MPa in two hours for detailed trowel work in tidal zones

BluCem HB60 – 25MPa in 2 hours for rapid structural support 150 millimetres spray build
